The Take Off

Dillon and I decided that it would be a good idea to test fly our plane to make sure that it would take off with ease.  We went to a church gym to test it.  Our first flight went quiet well.  It made it all the way to the other end of the court.  I jumped up and down with excitment.  There was a real sence of accomplishment when our plane took off.  I can't wait until tomorrow to see how it goes in class.

The Building Process

Dillon, my Dad and I all got together on Sunday to work on our plane.  It was not as hard as I was expecting it to be, and it was interesting to see how it all got put together.

Getting Started!

Getting a project such as building an airplane can be quiet over whelming. It was hard to know exactly where to start and where to get an airplane.  So I decided to try Wal-Mart and see if they had any plane kits.  Unfortunately they did not so next I tried Hobby Lobby.  This was a great store and I had a wide variety to choose from.  I decided to get two different ones just in case one did not work.  Next I did a little research to see how ariplanes worked. I found a website that was able to help me understand a little more how airplanes work:  http://science.howstuffworks.com/transport/flight/modern/airplane8.htm
